I must admit- I was skeptical when I first opened my MycoJars. I had never used Poly filters or jars with a single injection port. I was further skeptical when I didn't see growth in a few days...The magic was happening from the inside out. When I started to see growth, the MycoJars were almost ready! The MycoJars were finished several days to a week plus earlier than the regular four-holed PF type jars I started at the same time. I don't know the secret to these jars (I wish I did) but full, healthy growth came sooner than I have ever seen it. I had pins and rhyzos everywhere before I even got the cakes out of the jars. Next time I think I will try fruiting right in the jar. I have learned not to doubt any claims made about the magic MycoJars! Thanks USC! |
the jars came in very quickly as expected but i'm not sure if the substrate is grain/rye seed or if it brf cakes. i guess it's supposed to be the rye seed but i noticed that there seem to be reflective specks that resemble vermiculite in the mixture. either way, the cakes are colonizing and are free of contamination |
You can shop around and take your chances with other inoculation jars (and I have) and throw your money away, or you can buy these and be amazed at the results! I couldn't believe the super-fast colonization (strong mycelium after 3 days) , and 100% success!!
I'll only use these jars from now on! |
